My stay at The Algonquin Hotel was a mix of charm and challenges. The historic ambiance was good, and the location was absolutely perfect for accessing Broadway. though the room was much smaller than I anticipated. The service was excellent, especially from the doormen and staff, who really went above and beyond to assist me.

While I enjoyed the cocktails at the bar, I found them to be quite expensive. and I noticed there were better options just around the corner.

The Algonquin Hotel has a charming literary history and a fantastic location. though my experience with the dining options left something to be desired. The staff was attentive and professional, making my stay more enjoyable despite some shortcomings. Overall, I appreciated the ambiance and comfort of the hotel, but I wish the dining options had more variety.

Rooms

The King Room I stayed in was compact but comfortable, reflecting the typical size for NYC hotels. The bathroom was modern and clean, though the overall decor could use some refreshing.

I found the staff attentive and focused on making my stay comfortable. but some issues, like a delayed response regarding lost items, could be improved.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location was perfect. easy access to Broadway shows, restaurants, and Central Park. It made exploring Manhattan incredibly convenient.
Dining
5.0
The hotel restaurant offered good food, but the menu choices felt limited for two consecutive meals. The breakfast pricing was particularly disappointing for what was served.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities were alright, but the mandatory resort fee felt excessive given the lack of additional facilities like a pool or spa.

My recent stay at The Algonquin Hotel was nice, particularly due to its historical charm and central location near Times Square. While I appreciated the atmosphere and the convenience of being close to theaters, I did encounter some service hiccups and issues with the room amenities. Overall, it’s a unique experience that I'd consider repeating, but there are definitely areas for improvement.

Rooms

The room was quaint and full of character, though I did find the bathroom a bit cramped. HVAC issues caused some discomfort during my stay, but it was addressed promptly by staff.

Breakfast was decent, though on the pricey side. The food was good, but I'd suggest exploring nearby dining options for better value.
Facilities

Facilities were okay but lacking in some areas, like the business center’s temperature and the out-of-service ice machine. The complimentary espresso was a nice touch.

However, the room was small and a bit dated, with issues like dim lighting and a lack of room service. The staff were friendly and helpful overall, but there were moments that felt less than attentive.
